How to Perform the Meditation on Twin Hearts

The Twin Heart Meditation method is a quite powerful practice. If you do attempt to perform the meditation, be prepared to release any excess, pent up negative energy.

The meditation is about finding happiness, and allowing this to turn into a daily practice within your life. The goal is to always have harmony and satisfaction in your life, not just when you’re meditation.

Step 1: Physical Exercise

Physical exercise is critical in preparing, the physical and energetic bodies.

Through exercise, you are able to remove any blockers and excess build-ups of energy (stored as “waste”), specially in the joints.

Light Exercise Before Twin Hearts Meditation

We will also exercise after the Meditation on the Twin Hearts in order to get rid of any excess energy.

When we have too much energy, this makes us feel tired and lazy. That is why doing exercises before meditation is important – to start on an energetic first note.

Purpose:

  • Physical exercise is important to cleanse and prepare the body after meditation. Exercising before and after meditation helps to release excess energy, break down any existing energy blocks, and strengthens the physical body.

How:

  • Exercise can be as simple or complex as you’d like it to be here – the overall idea is to get the blood flowing within your system, and your chakras activated.

Step 2: Deep Abdominal Breathing

When you are breathing, take deep breaths. It can calm your mind and emotions. Deep breathing is important for meditation.

Deep abdominal expansion is the best way to reduce stress, and instantly feel a sense of tranquility.

Purpose:

  • Deep breathing helps to calm the mind and emotions, while also helping Prana flow smoothly within yourself. This is especially helpful for meditation. Even the ancient yogis of India utilized deep abdominal breathing as a part of their daily practice.

How:

  • Sit in a comfortable position, whether it’s in the lotus pose, on the floor, upright in a chair, etc.
  • Close your eyes
  • Take a deep breath and hold it for several seconds before slowly exhaling.
  • Keep your heart and mind calm during the inhales and exhales
  • Repeat this process to calm your mind.

  • Calm the mind and emotions, so that you are more prepared for meditation.

Step 3: Seek Divine Blessings

We look to connect with Divine beings to bless us, using that as a means of “kicking off” the meditation. It helps to increase the power of your meditation, and thus, its effectiveness.

“Divine energy” is a form of love and light that is connected to all living beings by some kind of force or vibration.

When you ask for divine blessings, your meditation will feel more powerful and influential.

Purpose:

  • We ask for God’s blessing before we start our work, and we should do the same before we meditate. You can say your own words or use words that are from your faith or religion.

How:

  • Say the following prayer, out loud:

To the supreme god, to my spiritual teacher, to all the spiritual teachers, holy masters, all the saints holy angels, spiritual helpers and all the great ones we humbly invoke for divine guidance, divine love, for illumination, for divine oneness, divine bliss, divine help and divine protection. We thank you, in full faith.

Meditation on Twin Hearts For Peace and Illumination

Immediate benefit:

  • “Initiate” the meditation, with help from the divine beings, and begin to feel tranquility fill within you.

Step 4: Activate Your Heart and Crown Chakras

Purpose:

  • Opening your heart and crown chakras is important to awakening Pranic Healing abilities within you.
  • You should feel a powerful divine energy, or vibration of some sort, emanate from your heart chakra during the meditation.
  • The crown chakra is located at the top of your head and has the ability to expand and open up as well, producing a higher frequency of Prana that flows into all of the other chakras, organs, and parts of your being.

How:

  • Activate your heart Chakra by recalling a happy event (remember – loving kindness).
  • Smile as you focus on the invocation, or place your left hand on your heart to help activate it quicker.
  • You can also listen to Master Sui reciting the Saint Francis Assisi prayer, while blessing the earth, to further activate your heart chakra. The full prayer is provided below.

  1. When you activate your crown chakra, you feel calm and peaceful. You know what to do when there is pressure. You feel connected to all beings in the world.
  2. When you active your heart chakra, love and compassion flow much easier throughout your body, filling you up with gratitude.

Step 5: Unlocking Spiritual Awareness and Illumination

Throughout this meditation, we chant “Om” and focus on the inner Light of Soul, to achieve peace. This meditation is about welcoming that infinite Soul into our physical being.

This means becoming one with the Universe, to achieve that “god-like” state of mind.

We seek illumination through this meditation.

Purpose:

  • Through continuous chants of “Om” we spread the positive vibrations throughout our entire body.

How:

  • Chant the mantra of OM repeatedly, while meditating on the inner light of the soul. Here is a transcription of the meditation, from the previously mentioned CD:

Imagine a brilliant star (or a golden flame) on your crown, look at it gently and lovingly and silently chant the mantra OM.

Lovingly meditate on the brilliant star and simultaneously chant the mantra OM. Be aware of the mantra OM, meditate on the interval or stillness between the two Oms.

While meditating on the interval or stillness between the two OMs. Be aware of this brilliant light. At the interval between the two Oms, there is stillness.

Be aware of the stillness and be lovingly aware of the brilliant star or the brilliant light (or golden flame) on your crown and let go.

Step 6: Releasing the Excess Energy

We channel any excess energy by blessing the entire earth (and often times, tens of thousands individuals in specific regions).

Twin Hearts Meditation - Blessing the Earth

Within the Meditation on Twin Hearts, our goal is to give the entire earth an abundance of happiness and prosperity, in the continuous service of others.

Let every life be blessed.

Purpose:

  • Bless the entire earth with love, while providing a “productive” release of any excess energy

How:

  • After the meditation is complete, gently return back to your state of consciousness (you can start by moving your fingers)
  • Bring your hands up to your chest, with your palms facing outward, imagining the Earth as a globe around your palms
  • Bless the world with kindness, love and power. May it be nestled in peace, order, spirit, good health and prosperity. Blessings be to every person–to every being!

  • Gratitude and happiness seeping into your soul
  • An act of kindness and service for others often helps improve our own well-being (especially for those suffering from depression).

Step 7: Grounding and Rooting

People often become light-headed when practicing meditation. If you find yourself feeling light-headed, then the grounding step will help you regain your senses.

While grounding yourself, you are connecting to the core of our body (the Earth).

Immediately after your session is complete, you can follow this process.

Purpose:

  • Bring yourself back to the present moment (and eliminate any uneasy feelings)

How:

  • Start to become aware of the base of your feet. Feel your heal touching the ground, bringing you back to consciousness.
  • Just as a tree’s roots “ground” it, your feet are the roots that help you grow

Immediate Benefit:

  • Eliminate any uneasy feelings that you may be experiencing
  • Gradually exit out of the trance-like state

Step 8: Gratitude Prayer & Concluding Exercises

To conclude and round out the Meditation on Twin Hearts, we speak a prayer conveying our gratitude to higher beings, thanking them for all of their blessings.

We also repeat the same round of exercises from Step 1, to ensure that we have removed any excess energy that may have been stored.

Purpose:

  • Conclude the Meditation on Twin Hearts, while expressing gratitude to all higher beings

How:

  • Repeat the prayer that Master Choa shares, in the Peace and Illumination CD:
